...On 22 January 2009, at a Gala Dinner at the New Connaught Rooms, the leading developers of clean technology in the UK and Ireland celebrated their success at the Rushlight Awards 2008.

WISER Recycling Ltd came away with a commendation for their closed loop lamp recycling process. By using an onsite crusher, the TubeEater, to reduce volume, transport costs and emissions are minimized. The resulting cullet then is sold on for further lamp manufacture, rather than downgraded to aggregate usage which has been the norm...
